I booked the rooms through booking.com in advance. I was traveling with young adults and my parents , who have mobility issues. Just before our trip, I called the hotel to verify that I needed two of the rooms adjoining and that one of them would be handicap accessible. The rooms were perfect. The YAs enjoyed the pool and workout room, breakfast was delicious and we really appreciated how the hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.

We stayed here when we moved from the east coast to Colorado in 2024...and when we did the reverse trip in 2025, we knew it was the best place to stay if you have a pet. Easy, consistent, comfortable, and clean; Holiday Inn Express is a good choice. We got a 2-queen bed suite (only like $10 more than the regular room) and it had a couch for our dog to sleep on.

Pillows and planket so soft, I get a good night sleep. Very friendly staff! Hotel was very clean inside and out. Breakfast was great! The pool and spa was very nice! I have no complaints and plan on staying here every time I'm in the area!!! Also there is a walmart next store if you need anything! I stay at alot of hotels and this one is great!

Just grabbed coffee on the way checking out. It was amazingly good! I thought Oh, I'll grab this until I can stop at Starbucks....BUT The coffee was REALLY GOOD!!!! The gentleman at the front desk that checked us in was very friendly and professional. He referred us to a great nearby restaurant. Great food! We felt safe staying there.

We were traveling all day, first attempt to stop was a no-go due to lack of availability at all three hotels we checked. The Vandalia HIE&S had a room and then was gracious enough to upgrade us to accommodate for separate sleeping arrangements for a sick child. Then, we all slept great. Very friendly staff.
